Empowering Futures: Telkom University's Commitment to Low-Income Students' Success Rate

To minimize the dropout rate for financially challenged students, Telkom University consistently provides scholarships to those in need. For example, as mentioned in the attached document from YPT Telkom Management Board Regulation No. PDP. 1616/01/DHE-PD01/YPT2021, which pertains to Scholarship Policy Articles 34 and 36, it outlines various types of social assistance scholarships, including the KIP (Kartu Indonesia Pintar) scholarships targeting students classified as belonging to low-income groups or those affected by natural disasters.

The costs covered by the scholarship include the exemption of the Education Development Participation Fee (UP3), the Contribution of Education Development Funds (SDP2), Tuition Fees (BPP) for the first semester, and dormitory fees. For subsequent Tuition Fees (BPP) in the following semesters, they are based on the Grade Point Average (GPA) where students are required to achieve a minimum GPA of 2.75 each semester. If a student fails to achieve the minimum GPA, the Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) scholarship for that student will no longer be valid. This regulation is used as an enforcement method to encourage students to study effectively.
