Comprehensive Sports Facilities for All
Telkom University provides a wide range of sports facilities to cater to different interests and needs. The swimming pool, located on the ground floor of the Tokong Nanas Building near the student dormitory, offers separate pools for male and female students. Meanwhile, the fitness center, situated behind the GSG Building near the Business Center and Student Center, is fully equipped and supported by professional trainers to help users achieve their fitness goals.
The sports field inside the Student Center Building can accommodate basketball, volleyball, and badminton games. With its spacious and comfortable environment, this venue frequently hosts friendly matches and inter-faculty tournaments, strengthening camaraderie and teamwork among students.
Outdoor facilities include a tennis court conveniently located near the Student Center, an archery field for those seeking focus and precision training, and a soccer field where students can engage in futsal or full-sized football games. For large-scale soccer activities, Telkom University also collaborates with Progressive to provide additional field access, ensuring that students can enjoy regular sports activities.
Shared Access for the Local Community
In addition to serving the internal academic community, Telkom University extends the use of its sports facilities to the local community. Schools around the campus area can arrange appointments to use facilities such as the basketball and tennis courts for student training and competitions. This collaborative approach strengthens community bonds and provides local residents, especially youth, with opportunities to engage in healthy recreational activities.
Such initiatives reflect Telkom University’s ongoing effort to promote physical well-being and inclusivity through shared resources. By providing free access to students and faculty while opening opportunities for the surrounding community, the university contributes to building a healthier, more active, and interconnected society.
Conclusion
Through its diverse and well-maintained sports facilities, Telkom University not only supports the physical well-being of its academic community but also extends its impact beyond campus borders. By sharing these facilities with local schools and residents, the university embodies its role as a community partner in achieving better health outcomes and promoting active, balanced lifestyles. In this year, 3-on-3 basketball court, pickleball court, indoor tennis court, and skatepark are breakthrough programs compared to last year.
