Telkom University Report On Progress of SDGs 6. Clean Water and Sanitation

Clean Water and Sanitation are essential for life. Telkom University is one of the main contributors to the program implementation. We also initiate numerous activities to improve the quality of water management in campus areas and its surrounding community.

Dr. Hanif Fakhrurroja, a lecturer from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at Telkom University, in collaboration with PT Multi Instrumentasi, a water meter manufacturer in Indonesia, has successfully developed an automatic water meter reader based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using LC (Inductor-Capacitor) sensors. Named the Automated Water Meter (AMR), this device is an automatic water meter reader that can transmit water usage data to a Smart Dashboard, allowing water customers to monitor their daily, weekly, and monthly water usage. In the Smart Dashboard, Hanif explains, there are key features such as device management, which can diagnose and ensure accurate data readings, resulting in effective and efficient water management.

From the publication perspective, in 2023, we released a total of 8 research publications in accredited journals and conferences related to SDG 6.
