Through the SDGs Report 2024, Telkom University reaffirms its strong commitment to achieving sustainable development by actively fostering partnerships that support SDG 4 – Quality Education. These collaborations emphasize inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education through technological innovation, digital transformation, and academic cooperation.
One of the key collaborative initiatives is the development of ANGKASA LMS, a web-based learning management system created by Dr. Kusuma Ayu L from the Faculty of Informatics, in collaboration with Telkom Sigma. This partnership bridges academic expertise and industry experience, resulting in an accessible and efficient digital education platform. ANGKASA LMS enables educational institutions to conduct online learning without requiring advanced IT infrastructure or personnel, making it particularly beneficial for schools and universities in under-resourced regions. This collaboration reflects how academic–industry synergy can produce sustainable solutions that expand access to education, contributing to both SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
In addition, Telkom University’s collaboration with the Association of Parents of Children with Down Syndrome (POTADS) West Java) led to the creation of the Down Syndrome Tracker (DST)—an IoT-based assistive device that enhances safety, independence, and inclusivity for learners with disabilities. This partnership demonstrates how research-driven innovation can promote educational inclusivity and empower marginalized communities.
Through these partnerships, Telkom University continues to exemplify the spirit of SDG 17 by building networks that unite academia, industry, and social organizations to strengthen educational access, inclusivity, and technological innovation for sustainable human development.
