Telkom University regularly holds educational programs focusing on awareness, prevention, and empowerment related to sexual and reproductive health. Organized by the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Satgas PPKS) together with student organizations and academic departments, these programs reach hundreds of participants. One flagship seminar titled “Realistic Behind Seduction — Education to Prevent Sexual Violence” helps students identify different forms of sexual harassment and violence, emphasising issues like consent and bystander action. Additionally, the PPKPT Webinar | Safe Campus Vibes: “Time to Educate & Prevent Together” drew more than 300 student participants, featuring psychologists, health professionals, and peer-educators.
Accessible Support Services and Information Channels
Beyond structured events, the university provides confidential support services for students experiencing or seeking information about sexual and reproductive health. The PPKS Task Force offers personal counselling, peer support programs, and a dedicated reporting mechanism. Telkom University also disseminates information materials—online and on campus—that cover healthy relationships, reproductive health, and gender-based violence prevention. These resources serve to raise awareness among the entire student community and ensure accessible entry points for help.
Collaborative Efforts with Student Units and Community Platforms
Telkom University partners with various student units and campus platforms to broaden reach and embed awareness into student life. Through involvement in student activity units, workshops, peer mentoring, and community engagement sessions, the university reaches tens of student groups each year, integrating safe-campus culture into everyday activities. This collaborative approach reinforces the preventative and educational focus of the university’s health-promotion strategy.
Conclusion
By continuously delivering education, awareness campaigns, and accessible support services, Telkom University reaffirms its commitment to a campus environment that is free from sexual violence and discrimination. By empowering students with knowledge, confidence, and resources to take care of their sexual and reproductive health, the university not only promotes health and safety but also nurtures a culture of respect, responsibility, and well-being across the academic community.
To further strengthen student welfare, Telkom University provides free health and accident insurance facilities for all active students. This coverage guarantees access to basic medical care, emergency services, and hospitalization benefits—ensuring that students can pursue their education with peace of mind and adequate health protection.
