Telkom University Strengthens Global Partnerships through Sustainability Education

As part of its ongoing commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Telkom University continues to strengthen partnerships in higher education by integrating sustainability concepts into its academic ecosystem.

Through cross-faculty collaboration, curriculum innovation, and academic–industry synergy, the university promotes learning that prepares students to contribute to sustainable global development

Introduced by Indonesia’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, the Independent Campus Program offers students opportunities to gain real-world experiences that combine classroom knowledge with professional practice. Telkom University integrates this program across its faculties to develop graduates who are future-ready, innovative, and socially aware.

There are eight available learning schemes under this initiative, each of which can be converted into course credits. Internships, as a mandatory component, enable students to earn 2–9 academic credits while developing skills directly applicable to the industry. Through this, students not only build competence but also confidence and adaptability for the professional world.

Beyond the mandatory programs, Telkom University also introduces Innovillage, an innovation-driven community empowerment program. Through this initiative, students collaborate with local communities to design and implement technological solutions that respond to social and environmental challenges. The outcomes of Innovillage activities can be converted into academic credits, reinforcing the value of experiential and impactful learning.
