One of Telkom University’s key research outcomes is PATRIOT-Net, an innovative system designed to strengthen communication and data accessibility during natural disasters. The product consists of two integrated components: the Monitoring Network System (SJM) equipped with sensors to detect environmental changes, and the Recovery Network System (SJP), which utilizes mobile base transceiver stations (BTS) to provide emergency connectivity in disaster-affected areas.
This innovation reflects the university’s commitment to developing practical technological solutions that align with national disaster management priorities. By providing reliable early warning and monitoring systems, Telkom University ensures that local governments and communities can respond quickly and effectively to minimize potential losses.
In addition to technological innovation, Telkom University also fosters collaboration with regional authorities and stakeholders to ensure the proper implementation and sustainability of such systems. The university emphasizes the importance of science-based policy support and digital infrastructure readiness in mitigating the risks of climate-induced disasters.
Through continuous research, innovation, and collaboration, Telkom University reinforces its role as an academic institution that not only advances knowledge but also delivers real impact on climate resilience. The university remains committed to supporting local governments in strengthening early warning systems and building adaptive capacity to face the challenges of climate change.
