Food insecurity is a critical issue that can significantly impact students' well-being and academic performance. Telkom University recognizes this challenge and has implemented various interventions to ensure that students have access to nutritious and affordable food on campus. By providing accessible food services and promoting innovative solutions, Telkom University aims to alleviate hunger among its academic community.
Telkom University supports SDG 7 by constructing and renovating campus buildings according to energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable standards, guided by Government Regulation No. 36/2005 and the university’s Sustainable Campus Policy (KR.0175/HKM5/SPS/2019).
Telkom University has quality targets for the number of low-income students graduating from each faculty. Based on the target quality document of the university, the graduation target is 94%, with a dropout rate of 6%. The dropout rate for each study program in 2023 can be seen in the image below (Image II.30 Page 25-26) :
Telkom University promotes lifelong learning through diverse vocational training—ranging from IoT, robotics, game development, and cybersecurity to marketing and SMK mentorship—empowering communities with practical digital and technical skills in 2023–2024.
Telkom University promotes responsible production through innovations like I-CERYOS and an incinerator, supported by 14 SDG-12 publications in 2023.
Telkom University integrates SDG-related learning across its curriculum, offering more than 2,700 courses—including sustainability fashion, supply-chain, marketing, community psychology, design, and renewable energy—to strengthen students’ understanding of sustainable development and support various SDG goals.
To reduce inequalities, Telkom University provides mobile app training for visually impaired friends. Telkom University also has a strong commitment to people with disabilities. High support is provided through digital systems and applications that can be used to assist people with disabilities in leading anormal life. Telkom University manages waste sustainably by converting 305,594 kg of leaf and inorganic waste into compost and flower pots, ensuring no waste is disposed of outside the campus.

Telkom University implements an admissions policy based on socio-economic equity, providing scholarships for low-income and disaster-affected students, and targeting the enrollment of approximately 20% of new students from the lowest household income group (less than USD 66 per month).
Telkom University, as regulated in PU.022/AKD01/AKD-BPA/2024 Article 19, conducts structured mentoring sessions for religious studies—held separately for female and male students in Islamic Studies—with a total of 1,445 female participants in 2023, representing 37.9% of students in the even semester of AY 22/23 and 20.3% in the odd semester of AY 23/24.
